The AP model also incorporates Suzuki Selective Rotation which enables the outboard to operate in either clockwise or standard rotation. The DF200AP is based on an inline four cylinder DOHC powerhead with a 2,879 cm3 (174.0 cu.in.) displacement. This four-stroke engine has large displacement, lots of torque, plenty of power and is packed with technology. The DF200AP engine is a clean runner and certified with a 3-Star Ultra-Low Emission rating from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and has also met the EPA 2010 standard.
